Dr. Gritz received his Bachelor of Arts and MD degrees from
the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine
six-year combined B.A./MD program. His postgraduate training
included an internship with Department of Internal Medicine,
University of Southern California School of Medicine - Los
Angeles County Medical Center, followed by multiple pre-residencies
at the Doheny Eye Insitute, University of Southern California.
He was awarded his Ophthalmology Residency from the University
of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Fellowships
were subsequently bestowed to Dr. Gritz relating to corneal
ophthalmology, external eye disease and Uveitis from the Francis
I. Proctor Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology, at the
University of California, San Francisco.
