Meet Dr. Frichtel

Ellen Frichtel, O.D., is an optometrist at Sabates Eye Centers, serving patients in Kansas City on Barry Road. She specializes in dry eye, optical services and ocular disease management.

Dr. Frichtel is a St. Louis native and earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Kansas. Rock Chalk! She earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, where she completed various externships in ocular disease, contact lens, dry eye, low vision and pediatrics. Dr. Frichtel was awarded AAO Student Fellowship, the Community Service Excellence Award and the Beta Sigma Kappa Silver Medal Award.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Missouri and Kansas Optometric Associations and the American Academy of Optometry. She is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas.

She is excited to join the Kansas City area to provide patient-centered eye care and help the community achieve their best possible vision and overall well-being.
